During the midlife stage, I decided to make a drastic change in my life, and obtained a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Saint Joseph College (now University of Saint Joseph). My life was forever changed in such a positive way. Since that time, I have had the privilege of providing counseling and psychotherapy in non-profit agencies for a few years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and most recently a Board Certified Counselor. I had a private practice in West Hartford, Connecticut for about thirteen years.
Two years ago I closed my private practice in order to pursue other interests. I have taken almost two years to REINVENT myself. Currently, I have created my own Online Psychotherapy Practice for State of Connecticut residents. I provide psychotherapy, via a secure, hipaa compliant VIDEO platform, called ZOOM. This online telehealth service enables me to be accessible to people all over Connecticut, and it allows you to be in the comforts of your own home. My niche is Midlife Transitions. I help women in midlife and beyond learn how to reclaim their power by coloring outside of the lines.
I love humor and will find ways to use it strategically amidst our therapy sessions. The way I choose to work as a therapist is to provide direct feedback during each and every psychotherapy session. This way you can absorb what new skills you want to obtain, and toss some old, distorted thoughts and beliefs you have about yourself that are no longer serving you well.
I provide a free 20-minute Consultation, in order for both of us to see if it is a good fit, and if it will best meet your needs.
I look forward to meeting you soon. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions at all.
